First of all welcome to one of the first posts on this blog. School Council plan to post many more messages here so everyone will know what we are doing.
Some of our biggest plans this year are to make a stained glass window , create a leaflet to introduce late starters and of course raise more money for charity.We are beginning work on the leaflet and plan to create a noticeboard in each class for school council news. The stained glass window will be created once we have the materials.We are also taking part in the Consortium Olympics.

Hi Pollyanna, I think it's great that you've started a school council blog. It can be a really useful way to communicate with the rest of your school community (including parents).
ReplyDeleteMake sure you're asking questions as well as telling people what you're doing. People will come back if you're involving them in a conversation.
I think the leaflet for late starters is a great idea. One thing I've seen some schools do with this is create leaflets (or videos) in the various languages of people who come to the school. In the school I am a governor of a lot of our late starters don't read English well, so it's important to have something they can understand.
